The Great Taste Awards has dished out its stars to the UK’s best food and drink producers. All entries entered follow a rigorous judging process with entries passing through teams of judges. It is the acknowledged benchmark for fine food and drink, described as the Oscars of food & drink. ‘‘Quite simply the Great Taste logo is the sign you can trust when buying food and drink in your local, quality retailer.’’
Run by The Guild of Fine Foods, a panel of judges work their way through many thousands of entries. Each one is blind tasted by chefs, cooks, buyers, retailers, restaurateurs, food critics and writers who are looking for a party of flavours, texture and aroma – unswayed by packaging. They then award the coveted stars.
We’re thrilled that our range of craft ciders has been awarded both two (medium dry) and one stars (medium and dry), in the 2023 awards.
The judges commented that Kicking Goat was ‘‘a bright golden cider that has a lovely full, rich and inviting aroma. Characterful, very well-balanced, lots of vibrancy and a beaufiful bright golden amber colour and soft pétillance.’’
